How to write a script people watch to the end
The first line is a hook
Do not introduce the video. Start with the most surprising thing in it, then earn the rest.
Write for the ear
Short sentences, one idea each. Read it aloud: anywhere you run out of breath, split the sentence.
Escalate
Each beat should raise the stakes or reveal something new. A flat middle is where people leave.
End on a payoff, not a summary
Close on a twist, an answer or a callback to the hook. "So that is the story of" is a cue to swipe away.
Long videos need a cold open
The first 30 seconds decide whether people stay for ten minutes. Write that part with the most care, then follow a clear outline.
