How to write a YouTube description that works
The first two lines do the work
Only the opening lines show before "more", in search and under the video. Put the hook and the main keyword there.
Chapters need a 0:00
YouTube only shows chapters when the first timestamp is 0:00 and there are at least three, each at least ten seconds apart. Paste yours and they come back in that format.
Three hashtags is plenty
YouTube shows up to three above the title. More adds little, and past 60 YouTube ignores all of them.
Write for people first
Keyword lists and copied tags read as spam. A clear paragraph about what the viewer gets ranks better and converts better.
