ChatGPT

  1. 1In ChatGPT's settings, open Apps and turn on Developer mode (under Advanced).
  2. 2Open Plugins, press Add, then Add custom MCP server.
  3. 3Name it ClipFlux and paste function(){throw Error("Attempted to call MCP_ADDRESS() from the server but MCP_ADDRESS is on the client. It's not possible to invoke a client function from the server, it can only be rendered as a Component or passed to props of a Client Component.")}.
  4. 4Press Connect, sign in to ClipFlux and press Allow.
  5. 5In a chat, ask @ClipFlux for a video.

Developer mode is on paid ChatGPT plans on the web. Once added, ClipFlux works in the ChatGPT apps too.

Claude

  1. 1In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors.
  2. 2Press Add custom connector.

  5. 5In a chat, turn ClipFlux on under the + menu and ask for a video.

The same on claude.ai, Claude Desktop and the phone app. A free Claude plan allows one custom connector.

Claude Code

  1. 1In a terminal, run: claude mcp add --transport http clipflux function(){throw Error("Attempted to call MCP_ADDRESS() from the server but MCP_ADDRESS is on the client.   2. 2Start Claude Code and type /mcp, then pick ClipFlux to sign in.
  3. 3Sign in to ClipFlux in the browser that opens and press Allow.
  4. 4Ask Claude Code for a video; it answers with the script and links.

Claude Code shows text, not the ClipFlux card. Open the video on clipflux.ai to watch it.

Other apps

  1. 1Any app that connects to remote MCP servers with sign-in works, for example Cursor or VS Code.

What the assistant sees

ClipFlux only receives what the assistant sends to do what you asked, such as a topic, a script or an edit. Never your other chats or the assistant's memory. Details in section 7 of our privacy policy.

Disconnect

On ClipFlux, open Settings, Connected apps and press Disconnect, or remove ClipFlux in the assistant's own settings. Your videos stay in your account.
