How to get a clean transcript

Clear audio beats everything

Background music and people talking over each other cause most mistakes. If you have the voice on its own track, upload that instead of the finished video.

Upload just the audio

The audio of a 20-minute video is a few megabytes as an MP3 or M4A, while the video itself can be hundreds. The transcript is the same and the upload is much faster.

The language is detected for you

It works in more than 90 languages and picks the language from the audio, so there is nothing to set first.

Subtitles that read well on a phone

The .srt and .vtt files keep each caption short and break at pauses and sentence ends. Upload the .srt in YouTube Studio under Subtitles, or import it into your editor.

Reuse what you already said

A transcript is a first draft for a description, a blog post or your next script. Make a video from this turns it into a narrated video in one click.
